How to use it

To use the expand command, simply provide the input file and the desired output file, like so:

expand input.txt > output.txt

The commonly used parameters

Here are five commonly used parameters for the expand command:

• -t Set the number of spaces per tab stop

expand -t 4 input.txt > output.txt

• -tabs Set tab stops at specific column positions

expand --tabs=4,8,12 input.txt > output.txt
