moby instalation broken half the way. Command `sudo apt --fix-broken install` gave up error pointing `containerd` & `sudo systemctl stop containerd` didn't worked

Error was - 

~$ sudo apt --fix-broken  install

dpkg-deb: error: paste subprocess was killed by signal (Broken pipe)

Errors were encountered while processing:

 /var/cache/apt/archives/moby-containerd_2.3.5-ubuntu24.04u2_amd64.deb

E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

Fix I did was -

~$ sudo dpkg -i --force-overwrite /var/cache/apt/archives/moby-containerd_2.3.5-ubuntu24.04u2_amd64.deb

This fix is worked but restarting of `containerd` didn't solved the problem.

~$ sudo systemctl stop containerd

~$

Now this command is successfully executed

~$ sudo apt --fix-broken  install
